*For reasons regarding what Rainbow Rowell has written in the past, and her continued defiance to listen to those hurt by this, I no longer read her books, or support and promote her in any way. However, I read a book by her in May 2020 and I have chosen to keep it in this list as to delete it would appear to be attempting to hide I ever supported her as an author. I am sorry for supporting her, but I won’t hide my mistakes as that would be wrong, instead please be aware my thoughts and feelings towards her have changed due to her behaviour and my opinions on her are now different* – July 2020
WWW Wednesday is currently hosted by Taking On A World of Words, and asks three simple questions that allow me to chat about what I’m reading, and also my most recent and upcoming reads!
What are you currently reading?

I’ve just started listening to ‘Turtle Under Ice’ on audible and I’m not sure what I think yet! It’s a strange read and the chapters are so short so sometimes it’s hard to follow and feel for the characters, but I’m looking forward to seeing where the story goes.
And yes, I am still reading ‘Titan’, and it’s not because I’m not enjoying it. It’s because I acquired this arc though Netgallery and it’s on my computer, and I haven’t been spending a lot of time indoors with all the good weather in the UK at the moment, so I’ve not had many chances to sit and stare at my screen to read it. Hopefully I’ll get that chance within the next week!
I only started ‘Enlightenment of The Greengage Tree’ last night as on my picks for ‘Asian Readathon’, and whilst the writing style is unlike anything I’ve ever read before I’m interested in where the story is going. However I can’t really give an opinion on it yet as I’m only four chapters in!
What have you just finished reading?

I have done a lot of reading this week! At the end of the last week I FINALLY finished ‘Yes No Maybe So’ and it left me with really mixed feelings. Whilst I really enjoyed the audiobook and thought the story was alright, I realised after I finished and sat back to think on the story that some things were handled poorly/weren’t that good. I will be posting a review for this soon though so stay tuned!
For some reason at one am this weekend I decided I needed to read ‘Pumpkin Patch’, which was odd because I had no plans to read it now and it’s definitely the wrong season for it. I thought it was a fun and sweet story but definitely not the best graphic novel I’ve ever read, but good enough to mean I won’t unhaul it anytime soon.
I finally got my hands on Waterstone’s Book of The Month pick for May last week when ‘The Dutch House’ arrived. I knew I needed to read it quickly in time to post a review on it for my Waterstone’s Book Of The Month series, but to my surprise I didn’t need to force myself to read it quickly, I flew through it on my own accord – it was just that good! I’m looking forward to writing my review for this and sharing my thoughts on it as this was definitely a book that surprised me.
I spent the whole of yesterday with my nose buried in ‘the Starless Sea’, unable to look away from it’s pages because I kept needing to know what happened next. It’s definitely not for everyone, but it was definitely for me and it’s become one of my new favourites! I can’t wait to share my thoughts on this in a review and tall about it with you guys.
And yes I also finally finished ‘This Eternity of Masks and Shadows’. I acquired this arc through Netgallery and should hopefully be posting my review on it tomorrow. I honestly felt really conflicted when reading this as whilst I loved the premise and some of the ideas, I’m still not sure if the execution of them was good enough or not.
What do you plan on reading next?

Honestly I’m not sure what I want to read next! I’m thinking I might pick up one of these two next but I’m not entirely sure. I’m such a mood reader it’s hard to predict what I’ll read, and if you look back on my past WWW Wednesday posts my predictions are rarely correct.
Enjoy your reading!

I’m glad The Starless Sea is treating you well. It wasn’t for me. Although, I tried to listen to it instead of reading it and it was super confusing that way. Reading might have been the better idea.

I could see how it would be super confusing trying to listen to it! the format of this book definitely isn’t for everyone, and I know lots of people have said they didn’t enjoy the way it was written

I read The Hazelwood a couple years back, but I’m not sure if I’ll continue with the second book. Either way, I hope you enjoy it when you pick it up!
